406 is a one-component cyanoacrylate instant adhesive, designed as an equivalent to Loctite 406. It is a very low-viscosity instant adhesive (15~25 mPa·s) specially designed for the fast bonding of plastics and rubbers/elastomers, including EPDM. With a fixture time of 10~30 seconds and shear strength of ≥15.5 N/mm² on grit-blasted steel, it provides reliable bonding for ABS, PVC, PC, rubber, and other materials. With a primer, it can also bond difficult materials like PP, PE, and PTFE. Shelf life is 24 months.

Product Introduction

406 is a one-component cyanoacrylate instant adhesive. It is a very low-viscosity instant adhesive (15~25 mPa·s) specially designed for the fast bonding of plastics and rubbers/elastomers, including EPDM. With a fixture time of 10~30 seconds and shear strength of ≥15.5 N/mm² on grit-blasted steel, it provides reliable bonding for ABS, PVC, PC, rubber, and other materials. With a primer, it can also bond difficult materials like PP, PE, and PTFE. Shelf life is 12 months.

Operating Instructions

1.Before use, ensure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry, free of oil, and free of dust.
2.Apply a thin layer of adhesive evenly to the prepared surfaces.
3.Join the two surfaces and apply light pressure, holding for 10~30 seconds until initial cure is complete.
4.Continue curing at room temperature for 24 hours to reach maximum chemical/solvent resistance.
5.For difficult materials like PP, PE, and PTFE, it is recommended to use a primer first.
